Microsoft Missed Expectations, Sees Revenue Above Estimates

Microsoft (MSFT) reported earnings of $4.89 per share on revenue of $92.28 billion for the fiscal first quarter ended September 2026. The consensus earnings estimate was $4.71 per share on revenue of $90.58 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $4.93 per share. The company missed expectations by 0.81% while revenue grew 18.80% on a year-over-year basis.

The company said during its conference call it expects second quarter earnings of $4.78 to $4.93 per share on revenue of $96.00 billion to $97.10 billion. The current consensus earnings estimate is $4.84 per share on revenue of $95.70 billion for the quarter ending December 31, 2026.
