U.S. Bancorp Beat Expectations

U.S. Bancorp (USB) reported earnings of $1.11 per share on revenue of $10.53 billion for the second quarter ended June 2025. The consensus earnings estimate was $1.07 per share on revenue of $7.06 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $1.09 per share. The company beat expectations by 1.83% while revenue fell 2.52% compared to the same quarter a year ago.

The company said in its earnings presentation it expects third quarter revenue of $7.10 billion to $7.20 billion and continues to expect 2025 revenue of $28.43 billion to $28.98 billion. The current consensus revenue estimate is $7.17 billion for the quarter ending September 30, 2025 and revenue of $28.39 billion for the year ending December 31, 2025.

U.S. Bancorp, with nearly 70,000 employees and $554 billion in assets as of December 31, 2020, is the parent company of U.S. Bank National Association, the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States.
