Paypal Beats but Guides Lower

Paypal (PYPL) reported 3rd Quarter September 2020 earnings of $1.06 per share on revenue of $5.5 billion. The consensus earnings estimate was $0.95 per share on revenue of $5.4 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $1.01 per share. Revenue grew 24.7% on a year-over-year basis.

The company said in its earnings presentation it expects fourth quarter non-GAAP earnings of approximately $1.01 per share on revenue of $5.95 billion to $6.20 billion. The current consensus earnings estimate is $1.06 per share on revenue of $6.09 billion for the quarter ending December 31, 2020.
